Fading Echoes is out! Spoilers!

Finally - Fading Echoes is out! Who's read it? Leave comments and theories here! For those of you who haven't been able to get your paws on Fading Echoes yet here's a short summery and interesting points of the book! An in depth summery + theories are coming soon!

Warning! Spoilers ahead!

The book begins with a troubling reveal - Breezepelt is helping the Dark Forest cats. Tigerstar persuades Breezepelt that he must take revenge against Crowfeather - because Crowfeather took a mate from another Clan. Tigerstar also says that there is another cat that must join them....the cat? Ivypaw.

Leopardstar dies early in the book of old age. Mistyfoot becomes the new leader of RiverClan.

Poppyfrost's kits are named: Molekit and Cherrykit.

Jayfeather tells Firestar that he, Lionblaze and Dovepaw are the Three. He also tells them he's not entirely sure what the Prophecy means. Firestar admitted that he thought the Three were Leafpool, Cloudtail and Squirrelflight.

Tragedy comes in Fading Echoes for StickxJay lovers. :( When Ivypaw steps on Jayfeather's stick by accident it gets thrown into the river. Jayfeather feels a twinge of pain when the stick falls into the river.

Dovepaw senses tree roots coming lose. A tree falls, trapping Longtail and Briarpaw underneath. Unfortunately Longtail dies and Briarpaw breaks her spine and can no longer feel her hind legs. Later, Briarpaw is made into a warrior despite her disability. Her siblings also become warriors. Their names are Briarlight, Bumblestripe and Blossomfall.

Progressing into the book, ThunderClan has trouble ShadowClan venturing into their territory. Ivypaw persuades Firestar to attack ShadowClan after Blackstar denies that his warriors have crossed the border. Firestar loses a life after Russetfur brutally attacks him. Lionblaze killed Russetfur but not in time to save Firestar from losing another life.

Night Whispers Theories & Info

The cover for the third book of the Omen of the Stars series has been unveiled! (<---- See image to left) The third OOTS book is called Night Whispers and it is said include point of view of a ShadowClan cat. This cat is presumed to be Flametail - ShadowClan's medicine cat. Mark your calendars for November 23 2010 - the release date (according to the HarperCollins website) for Night Whispers! There's a lot of speculation about the release date - some say August 8 2010, while others say November 23 2010. I'm not sure which (if any) of these date are correct - I'm doing some digging into this.

Warning! Possible spoilers ahead!
The blurb from Night Whispers is: "The deadly battle between ThunderClan and ShadowClan is finally over. Now the three cats who are prophesied to hold the power of the stars in their paws—Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Dovepaw—are more determined than ever to stop the flow of evil into ThunderClan. But they will soon discover that this evil comes from places even StarClan can't reach..."

From this summery we can gather that there was a battle between ThunderClan and ShadowClan. This battle most likely will take place in Fading Echoes. What could cause a battle between the two Clans? Its no secret that ThunderClan and ShadowClan aren't the best neighbors. Even though Blackstar can be hotheaded - he's no fool. The battle between ThunderClan and ShadowClan would most likely be over something important... but what? Could ShadowClan have discovered the Prophecy and wanted the powerful cats dead? Or could Blackstar have simply decided that Firestar was low on lives - and if he struck: he could take out the "kittypet leader."

The blurb says "the deadly battle between ThunderClan and ShadowClan." We can assume this means we'll be saying goodbye to a few cats. We know that Leopardstar dies in Fading Echoes. Could this battle be the one that steals her last life? Perhaps RiverClan gets involved somehow?

Perhaps the final very interesting piece of information comes from the last sentence of the blurb: "But they will soon discover that this evil comes from places even StarClan can't reach..." Hmm... a strong theory is that Tigerstar (and possibly Hollyleaf) begin "influencing" cats, causing tension among the Clans... The theory continues, suggesting that Breezepelt is already under this "influence," and that Ivypaw may join him.

Here are some other interesting theories...

Night Whispers Theories

Tigerstar...
Could Tigerstar start the battle between ThunderClan and ShadowClan? He might be the "evil flowing into ThunderClan" mentioned in the blurb. In previous books it was revealed that Tigerstar is growing more and more powerful - and StarClan is powerless to stop him. From Lionblaze's dreamwalks with Tigerstar we know that the dark leader can wound others, even though he's dead.

In The Fourth Apprentice, Tigerstar is seen standing over Poppyfrost's newborn kits. Could Tigerstar be recruiting kits for villainous purposes?

DovexTiger starts battle
This is an interesting theory. Perhaps we'll see another forbidden romance with Tigerheart and Dovepaw? The possibility of a DovexTiger pairing has been hinted at throughout The Fourth Apprentice. Maybe love blossoms between them and we'll see a GraystripexSilverstream repeat? Still... it seems highly unlikely for Blackstar and Firestar to fight over two of their lovestruck warriors. At worse I think Blackstar would exile Tigerheart - not start a battle because of his affections for Dovepaw.

Tigerheart goes evil & starts the battle
Hmmm... in this could happen, but I find it very unlikely. I think the possibility of Tigerheart "going evil" doesn't suit his personality. It may be more likely that he is misguided.

In The Fourth Apprentice Lionblaze suspects that Tigerstar walks in Tigerheart's dreams. Tigerstar could easily lead the young warrior astray. Tigerstar could use Tigerheart to stir up hostility between ThunderClan and ShadowClan.

One thing is for certain: If Tigerstar is involved - its going to be bad news for ThunderClan.

Flametail falls in love?
It is presumed that Flametail will have a point of view in Night Whispers. Why? Flametail isn't an active, super-important character in OOTS - so why would Flametail get his own POV? There are two major theories I have discovered for this:
Theory 1: Flametail's point of view is prologue - nothing more.
Theory 2: Flametail has a forbidden relationship which plays a major part in the series.
Theory 2 has many holes - although it is an interesting idea. While this could happen - it would distract from the main point of the OOTS series: the Prophecies. This is, assuming Flametail is a main character. What if Flametail fell in love with Dovepaw? Could that make him important enough to have his own point of view? Maybe.

I think it far more likely that Flametail would discover something important if he is going to be featured throughout Night Whispers. What if he learns the existence of the Prophecy? Could that be important enough or him to get his own point of view? I'm not sure... What are your thoughts about Flametail in Night Whispers?

BloodClan returns?
Many Warriors fans doubt that we have seen the last of BloodClan. Could Night Whispers mark the return of this dark Clan? What are your thoughts?

Fading Echoes Theory...

The release date for the second book in the Omen of the Stars series, Fading Echoes, is coming up exactly one month from today. (March 23!)

Warning! Spoilers ahead!

Fading Echoes is going to be MINDBLOWING! Erin Hunter has said Leopardstar will die in this book and Mistystar will be the newest leader of RiverClan.

Many theories are floating around about this latest book in the Warriors saga. Here is one of the current theories:

Warriors Wiki has a fantastic teaser from Victoria Holmes: "Things are getting very tense, with Jayfeather about to swallow his pride and seek help from the other medicine cats for a young warrior who's been horrifically injured by a falling tree..."

One rumor is that it would be Brambleclaw who is wounded by the tree. A rumor is going around that Brambleclaw will be horrifically injured after Firestar's death, in order to let Lionblaze become leader of ThunderClan. Could the injured warrior mentioned in the quote be Brambleclaw? Maybe... If you look closely you can see that the quote says "a young warrior..." Brambleclaw isn't exactly young. He seems to me like more of a senior warrior, not a young warrior. Who could this young ThunderClan warrior be? Only time will tell...

Do you have theories? Post 'em here!

Theories...

After surfing through 300+ comments, I must admit, I found some fascinating theories! Here are a few theories I found and my thoughts on them. Feel free to share your thoughts too in the comment section of this post! :)

*WARNING :*
The following content contains spoilers for Sunrise and possibly Omen of the Stars.

Theory #1 - A Dark Future?

I've heard a lot of speculation recently about Ivypaw. Vicky Holmes (One of the Erins) seems to be hinting on Ivypaw possibly playing a dark roll in the books. During a Wands and Worlds Author Chat, Vicky was asked "Will Ivykit be Evil?" To which the author replied:

"VickyHolmes(A): She'll be pretty miffed that her sister is getting all the attention, that's for sure!"

It has been confirmed that Dovepaw is the "fourth apprentice" and she will be the final cat in the "Power of Three" prophecy. Could it be possible that Ivypaw grows dark because of jealousy? This brings up the rumor - Will Ivypaw be jealous enough that she teams up with Hollyleaf?
Remember Ashfur betraying his Clan because of Squirrelflight? Perhaps Ivypaw will follow in his pawsteps?

This theory, of course, is dependent on whether or not Hollyleaf survived the tunnels. (I have a suspicion she did!) Even if Hollyleaf is indeed dead, Ivypaw could make a dark character, perhaps not a full fledged villain, but maybe a misunderstood cat who could cause some trouble...

Theory #2 - Love is in the Air?

I cannot resist commenting on this pair brought up by Brightstar. Lionblaze & Cinderheart? It could be a possibility.

Cinderheart is a reincarnation of Cinderpelt. It was revealed in an Author Chat that Cinderpelt was in love with Firestar. Hmmm... Could some of Cinderpelt's feelings be inside Cinderheart? Firestar might be too old for her, but Lionblaze is similar in appearance to ThunderClan's leader...

However, after scanning the Power of Three series for possible LionxCinder hints, I have come up empty handed - er empty pawed. It seems like the logical mate choices for Lionblaze are Heathertail or Icecloud. (Vicky has hinted towards LionxIce) Who knows, maybe the Erins will surprise LionxCinder fans in Omen of the Stars... Keep a sharp eye out for hints!

Theory #3 - Tricky Relations?

Warriors fans have seriously wondered the identity of Firestar's parents ever since the hint dropped in The Rise of Scourge when Quince, Scourge's mother, comments on how odd it was that none of her kits inherited their father's ginger coat. Later the Erins revealed that Scourge and Firestar where half-brothers.

With the release of Bluestar's Prophecy, another character was introduced - Jake. A plump ginger kittypet with a keen interest in the forest. This lead fans to the belief that Jake was the father to Firestar and Scourge.

Unfortunately no other information has been revealed, so for now, this is merely a theory. Hopefully the Erins will shed some light upon this mystery!

(Thanks, Dreamstar for bringing this to my attention!)

Theory #4 - A New Threat?

Okay, I really like this theory that Silverstar thought up. Very original, and possible - take a look:

"I wonder if Brokenstar had a mate before he became leader. Maybe he has kits somewhere. Possible new villains? Because they've exhausted the idea of Tigerstar's kits being evil. Both of Tigerstar's sons are evil. So maybe they'll make Brokenstar have a kit that is evil. Just maybe?"

What are your thoughts on this idea?

Updates!

First off, I'd like to thank Silverstar for her lovely True Warrior Cats Fan award!

Thanks, Silverstar! :)

Second, I'm going to start featuring Warriors Fan Fictions here on Sorrelpaw's Blog. For those of you who don't know, Fan Fictions are basically Warriors stories written by fans.

This week I'm featuring my own Fan Fiction, Crashed. Its a short fictional story I wrote about what I think could have happened when Brightpaw was attacked by dogs. It features the Brightpaw x Cloudtail pairing and a tiny bit of Swiftpaw x Brightpaw. Note, this story is rated T for minor use of gore.

Do you have a favorite Fan Fiction? Or do you have a Fan Fiction you wrote yourself? Post it here and it may be featured on Sorrelpaw's Blog!

Huge Family Tree?

Warning, Spoilers for Sunrise...

Pinestar...a lot of people are curious about this little-known leader who lead ThunderClan before Sunstar. Pinestar had three kits, Tigerkit (Tigerclaw) and two unknown ones. Recently, Ryan had an interesting theory concerning Pinestar:

"What if Pinestar was Firestars father. It would explain why he felt drawn to the forest but of course thats just a theory."

Wow...that would mean Firestar, Scourge and Tigerstar are half-brothers. That would be an interesting twist! But...there is a rather large hole in this theory. Cinderpelt's prophecy. Remember how she saw tiger in fire? It meant the kin of Firestar and Tigerstar would be strong enough to rule the forest. (this was then followed by the three kin of your kin prophecy.) That would kind of be a mess...don't you think?

Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw would be related. Ew? That wouldn't really matter much though since Crowfeather and Leafpool are the parents of Jay, Lion and Holly.

It would be cool if Firestar and Tigerstar were half-brothers but I doubt it. :( However, you never know with the Erins! Ryan, you may see this theory come true one day. Keep a close eye on the upcoming books, perhaps the Erins will let something slip!

Keep up those awesome theories!

Pinestar?

Greetings, Warrior lovers! Have you read Code of the Clans yet? Yes? No? If you haven't don't worry--I haven't read the whole thing yet either! I have, however, read select stories from inside.

Mistypelt brought up an excellent thought about Pinestar, the apparent leader of ThunderClan before Bluestar.

Warning, Spoilers for Code of the Clans!

Mistypelt's thought:
NO! Something isn't right!!! While some one at wands and worlds was saying that he/she loved Code of the Clans, he/she mentioned that he/she loved the story "Pinestar's Secret" - I love reading about the ThunderClan right before Firestar came into the picture. " But it was Sunstar then Bluestar then Firstar. There was no time for Pinestar!!! Any theories??????

Time error! How could Pinestar possibly have exhausted all his nine lives in time for Sunfall to become Sunstar and for Bluefur to become Bluestar? The answer is this: Pinestar... became a kittypet. Yes! Pinestar the leader of ThunderClan became a kittypet! It worked out like this:

Pinestar, Sunstar (dead), Bluestar (dead), Firestar.

Want to know something else? Pinestar is Tigerstar's father. Eek. No wonder Tigerstar despised kittypets, his own father had one of the best positions in the forest then... just left it all.

Did you know Tigerstar and Spottedleaf are related? They both came from Cloudstar's line. Interesting, isn't it?

Chinese ThunderClan

I've found pictures of Chinese Warrior cats! I personally love how the Chinese portray the Warriors. Hopefully you do too! Without further delay, please let me introduce you to the Chinese Warriors of ThunderClan!!

Strong and Noble Leader of ThunderClan...The first cat on the left is none other than...Bluestar! She's very different from the Bluestar pictured on Bluestar's Prophecy! The Chinese have given her a soft-silvery coat, splotched with white and highlighted with black. The swirls above her eyes make her look very mystic.

Fire Alone Will Save Our Clan...Okay, I bet you all know who this next one is. Fireheart! His signature flame-colored has tabby markings. He looks pretty much the same as he did in the American Books.

If It Shares Fireheart's Blood, It'll Make a Good Warrior... This next one is hard to guess. Its...Graystripe! He looks very different from his American Counterpart! This Chinese Graystripe sports a blue-gray fluffy pelt with tabby markings and yellow eyes. White splotches decorate his fur as well.

So there you have it, Chinese ThunderClan!

Do the Chinese Warriors look different then you where expecting? Do you like their looks?

Bluestar's Prophecy!

The time is looming ever closer for the second Super Edition, Bluestar's Prophecy, to be released. July 28th is when fans will finally be able to read this awesome book. (only a month away!!)

Have you noticed the little "Exclusive Manga Adventure Inside" button on the cover? This means that not only will Bluestar's Prophecy contain an glimpse of Bluestar's life, but it will also contain a manga! Cool! I wonder who its about? Perhaps it a Into the Wild manga? Who knows! That little button wasn't there before though. Hm...a last minute manga added?

I've seen a comment speculating that Leopardkit may turn out to be Leopardstar of RiverClan. ThunderClan and RiverClan do seem to have a habit of breaking the Warrior Code. (BluexOak, GrayxSilver...) And the two Clans seem to be friendlier with each other. So did Leopardkit grow up to be Leopardfur then leave for RiverClan? Possibly. We'll have to wait and find out. It would be an interesting twist if Leopardkit was Leopardstar, wouldn't it?

Are you looking foward to Bluestar's Prophecy? I am! Don't forget to check out the sneak peeks from Bluestar's Prophecy, available on my blog.

Check out this awesome picture! It portrays Bluestar perfectly!
Doesn't she look so regal and majestic?

Bluestar's Prophecy Sneak Peek CONTINUED!

Thanks to the awesome people at Warriors Wish, the final part of the sneak peak has been located! You can view the first part here.

Here's the continuation:

Leopardkit scampered after her brother, swiping playfully at his tail. Her black coat shone in the sunshine. She stopped and stared in delight when she saw Bluekit and Snowkit. “You’ve opened your eyes!”
Bluekit licked her chest, trying to smooth down her fluffy fur and wishing her pelt was as sleek as theirs.
“We can show you around,” Leopardkit mewed excitedly.
Snowkit bounced around the older kit. “Yes, please!”
Bluekit flicked her tail crossly. She didn’t want to be shown her territory. She wanted to explore it for herself! But Leopardkit was already trotting toward the wide patch of ferns near the gorse barrier. “This is the apprentice den,” she called over her shoulder. “We’ll be sleeping there in a moon.”
Snowkit raced after her.
“Are you coming?” Patchkit nudged Bluekit.
Bluekit was gazing back at the nursery. “Won’t you miss your old nest?” She felt a sudden flicker of anxiety. She liked sleeping next to Moonflower.
“I can’t wait to move into my new den!” Patchkit yowled as he darted toward the apprentices’ den. “It’ll be great to be able to talk without Swiftbreeze telling us to be quiet and go to sleep.”
As Bluekit hurried after him, the ferns trembled and a tortoiseshell face poked out between the green fronds.
“Once you start your training,” yawned the sleepy-looking apprentice, ‘you’ll be glad to get some sleep.”
“Hello, Dapplepaw!” Patchkit skittered to a halt outside the den as the tortoiseshell she-cat stretched, half in, half out of the bush.
Bluekit stared at her pelt, thick and shiny, the muscles on her shoulders rippling as she sprang from the ferns and landed beside Patchkit. Suddenly her denmate didn’t seem so big after all.
“We’re showing Bluekit and Snowkit around the camp,” Leopardkit announced. “It’s their first time out.”
“Don’t forget to show them the dirtplace,” Dapplepaw joked. “Whitepaw was complaining about cleaning out the nursery only this morning. The place has been filled with kits for moons, and there are more on the way.”
Bluekit lifted her chin. “Snowkit and I can keep our nest clean now,” she declared.
Dapplepaw’s whiskers quivered. “I’ll tell Whitepaw when she gets back from hunting. I’m sure she’ll be delighted to hear it.”
Was she teasing? Bluekit narrowed her eyes.
“I can’t wait to go hunting!” Patchkit dropped into a crouch, his tail weaving like a snake.
Quick as the wind, Dapplepaw pinned it down with her paw. “Don’t forget to keep your tail still or the prey will hear you swishing up the leaves.”
Patchkit pulled his tail free and straightened it out, flattening it to the ground.
Snowkit stifled a purr. “It sticks out like a twig,” she whispered in Bluekit’s ear.
Bluekit was watching too intently to reply. She studied how Patchkit had pressed his chest to the ground, how he’d unsheathed his claws and tucked his hind paws right under his body. I’m going to be the best hunter ThunderClan has ever seen, she vowed.

Quote!

"You cannot live with a paw in each world."
(To Rusty, Into the Wild, by Erin Hunter)

I love that quote! It was really the turning point, when Rusty became Firepaw. Since then Firepaw has become a beloved character in the Warriors series.

Though...I can't help thinking...I liked Firestar better when he was Firepaw. I've noticed that Firestar's personality has changed throughout the books, warping and becoming softer. He is more trusting. No one opposes him.

I miss the days when Longtail was critical of the newly named Firestar.

Chinese Trading Cards

For the die hard Warriors fan (that's all of us, right?) the Chinese have created a Warrior Cats Card Game. Yes, you read right, you can collect (foreign) Warrior Cats Trading Cards. Cool!

I'll post some pictures of the cards next. Pretty cool, right? If you buy a chinese Warrior Cat book, sometimes trading cards come with it.

The most of the cats look waaaaaaaaay different from the American/Canadian versions, though Brambleclaw looks pretty much the same. On the right you can see several cats from the Clans, Firestar, (ginger tom) Brambleclaw, (solid brown tabby with green eyes, next to Firestar on bottom) and Greystripe (fluffy grey cat besides Brambleclaw with yellow eyes, short ears and white chest.) are among the cats on the front of the trading card pack.

Pictures coming next!

Modern SkyClan Super Edition

Another upcoming release in the Warriors Saga is the Modern SkyClan Super Edition. As the name states, it will focus on SkyClan and what has happened since Firestar left SkyClan in Leafstar's care. Unfortunately it comes out sometime in 2010. Yes, an entire year away! Since the release is so far off, no details or cover art have been released yet.

I don't think I can wait that long! SkyClan has become one of my favorite Clans. I absolutely loved how they got started, and I think they have so much potential. I bet the Clan has grown considerably, but have they stuck to the Warrior Code? Have they modified the Warrior Code to meet their own needs? How have they been coping since Firestar left? These are just some of the questions that have me wishing I could get my paws on this book!

I'll keep you updated!

Warriors Movie?

Perhaps you have heard the rumors floating around about there being a Warrior Cats movie. Maybe you've also heard the rumor that Zac Efron was cast as Firestar...but are these rumors true? Or are they false? I'm here to answer some questions about the "Warriors movie."

Now I'll admit now, I don't know everything about the "Warriors movie." But I have heard bits and pieces which I'll share with you.

First off, the rumor about a Warriors movie is...TRUE! Barely though. The Erins are talking with major movie producers, but nothing is solid or confirmed yet. The talk may end with a movie, or it could end with the movie studio saying "Well, its a great book...but we really don't want to make it a movie now."

According to Wands and Worlds, Vicky is writing an EARLY stage of the script, but they are still a long ways off from casting, or even confirming the movie. The script is most likely for the studio to decide if they really want to create a movie about Warrior Cats.

If the studio does begin work on the movie, don't hold your breath! It could be two years before the movie hits big screens. :(

Secondly, the rumor that Zac Efron will be playing Firestar is...100% FALSE! The movie hasn't even been casted yet.

So there MAY be a Warriors movie, but don't expect Zac Efron to be in it!
Hope this answers some questions!

Code of the Clans

Warriors Code of the Clans is a brand-new Warriors book coming out on June 9th, o9.

This new book will tell the previously untold stories of the past... Questions will be answered, stories will be told and secrets will be reviled!

On the cover, you can see the leaders of all four Clans, Blackstar, (white tom with black paws) Firestar, (Ginger tom), Tallstar, (black-and-white tom) and Leopardstar. (Spotted gold-and-white she-cat)

Unfortunately not many details about this book have be released...It looks like it will be telling stories of when the Clans lived in the forest, since Tallstar is present and Onestar is not.

If you look closely, you can see that Tallstar's eye color is wrong. In the books, Tallstar is described as a black and white tom with amber eyes. This cover depicts him with greenish eyes...in fact all the leaders (except for Firestar) have the wrong color eyes. They are described in the books as having amber eyes. yet their eyes are green or blue. Hmmm....

Blackstar almost looks like Cloudtail. He's so cute and cuddly looking! ^.^

Russian Warrior Cats

Here is a Russian drawing of a ThunderClan cat (probably Fireheart) bringing down a bird. Interesting right?

You can see ferns and grasses in the background but no trees. Perhaps this was in old ThunderClan territory.

Notice how all the different countries seem to have a 'look' for Fireheart? Chinese is tabby, American/Canadian is solid ginger and Russian is ginger-y with highlights. Its unique! Yay for art styles~!

Do you like the Chinese or Russian Warrior Cats better?

Into the Wild Chinese Book Cover

Oooh! Warriors, Into the Wild Chinese book cover has been released! You can see it on the right.

The cats on the cover are Rusty, (ginger tabby with collar) Lionheart (the ginger tabby with a mane) and Bluestar. (the blue she-cat next to Lionheart.)

It looks cool! I love the art style! Lionheart's mane is a bit...well unnatural but I like it as well.
I really like how Rusty's pelt is tabbyish, in the regular books his coat is pure ginger.

More Omen of the Stars Theories...

Yesterday Silverstar posted a comment on my blog with a very interesting theory. I thought it was very possible so I decided to post it here with me replies/agreements/disagreements/more theories.

Warning, the following contains Spoilers for Omen of the Stars and Sunrise.

"Personally, I am kind of doubting that one of Whitewing's kits [Ivykit or Dovekit] will be the Fourth Apprentice.
I mean, first off, neither Whitewing nor Birchfall were main cats. And second, their kits are hardly related to Firestar. They are his great-grand-nieces."
You are correct, Birchfall and Whitewing were more of background Warriors in the series. Perhaps Birchfall and Whitewing are more important then Erin is letting on? Whitewing is Cloudtail and Brightheart's daughter--maybe Erin Hunter wanted to give Cloudtail's line some spotlight as well? *shrug*

"I'm thinking it would be more likely that [if Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight are still mates after the Sunrise incident], one of their kits would be the Fourth Apprentice, but that's just me."
That would be waaaaaaay more likely, I agree. I also think it would add a fantastic punch in the plot. Would Lion and Jay accept Squirrelflight's kit though? It must have been pretty shocking to find out that the cat you called mother is not your mother after all. I don't think Squirrelflight is the kind of cat that would enjoy sitting in the nursery with tiny kits crawling all over her. Then again, she didn't seem like the kind of cat to fall for Brambleclaw. (I was a bit surprised when BramblexSquirrel was introduced. I thought it would be StormxSquirrel.)

"I'm also still curious about something concerning Breezepelt though; In The New Prophecy, before Leafpool fell in love with Crowfeather, she felt a 'destiny' about him. Could that destiny be that he was the father of the Three, or now, the Four?
And, they made Breezepelt a main cat."

Crowfeather does have a destiny, perhaps it was to father the three, maybe its more that hasn't been reviled yet. Breezepelt isn't related to Firestar though (not that we know of)--and the prophecy was "there will be three kin of your kin." Erin has stated that the Fourth Apprentice would be revealed on the last page of Sunrise and she has also said that the Fourth Apprentice had not been born yet. (I'll have to find her author chat and post it here.) I do think Breezepelt will have a major part to play in this new series, since the books have been focusing on him so much.

"Just my little theory. I mean, not that long ago it was a 'fact' that Squirrelflight was the mother of The Three. They try to trick people."
Its a very good theory too! Good point, we'll have to keep our eyes open for any clues! Thanks for posting! :)

Bluestar's Prophecy Sneak Peek!

The following is credited to Warriorswish. I take no claim on finding this sneak peek.

At the back of Seekers #3; Smoke Mountain was a special sneak peek for the upcoming Warriors book, Bluestar's Prophecy!

Here it is -

Waking, Bluekit could feel the weight of her sister snowkit lying on top of her. Moonflower’s belly rose and fell rhythmically beside them. Swiftbreeze was snoring and Poppydawn wheezed a little as she breathed. Bluekit could hear Leopardkit and Patchkit chattering outside.
“You be the mouse and I’ll be the warrior!” Patchkit was ordering.
“I was the mouse last time!” Leopardkit retorted.
“Was not!”
“Was!”
A scuffle broke out, punctuated by squeaks of defiance.
“Watch where you’re rolling!” the angry meow of a tom silenced them, but only for a moment.
“Okay, you be the warrior,” Patchkit agreed. “But I bet you can’t catch me.”
Warrior! Bluekit wiggled out from under her sister. A newleaf breeze stirred the bramble walls; it drifted through the gaps- but the same fresh forest smell her father had carried in on his pelt when he’d visited. It chased away the stuffy smell of moss and milk and warm sleeping fur.
Excitement made Bluekit’s claws twitch. I’m going to be a warrior!
For the first time, she stretched open her eyes, blinking against the shafts of light that pierced the bramble roof. The nursery was huge! In the darkness, the den had felt small and cozy, but now she could see the brambles arching high overhead, with tiny patches of blue beyond.
Poppydawn, a dark brown tabby with a bushy tail, lay on her side near one part of the wall. Bluekit recognized her because she smelled different from Swiftbreeze and Moonflower. There was no milk scent on her because she didn’t have any kits yet. Swiftbreeze, in a nest beside her, was hardly visible; curled in a tight ball with her nose tucked under her tail, her tabby and white pelt blotchy against the bracken underneath her.
The most familiar scent of all lay behind her. Wriggling around, Bluekit gazed at her mother. Sunlight dappled Moonflower’s silver-gray pelt, rippling over the dark stripes that ran along her flank. Her striped face was narrow, and her ears tapered to gentle points. Do I look like her? Bluekit looked over he shoulder at her own pelt. It was fluffy, not sleek yet like Moonflower, but dark gray all over with no stripes. Not yet.
Snowkit, lying stretched on her back, was all white except for gray ear tips.
“Snowkit!” Bluekit breathed.
“What is it?” Snowkit blinked open her eyes. They were blue.
Are mine blue? Bluekit wondered.
“You’ve opened your eyes!” Snowkit leaped to her paws, wide awake. “Now we can go out of the nursery!”
Bluekit spotted a hole in the bramble wall, just big enough for two kits to squeeze through. “Patchkit and Leopardkit are already outside. Let’s surprise them!”
Poppydawn raised her head. “Don’t go too far,” she murmured sleepily, before tucking her nose back under her tail.
“Where are Poppydawn’s kits?” Bluekit whispered.
“They won’t arrive for another two moons,” Snowkit answered.
Arrive? Bluekit tipped her head to one side. Where from?
Snowkit was already heading for the hole, scrambling clumsily over Moonflower. Bluekit tumbled after her, her short legs uncertain as she slid down her mother’s back and landed in the soft moss beside.
The nest rustled and Bluekit felt a soft paw clamp her tail tip to the ground.
“Where do you think you’re going?”
Moonflower was awake.
Bluekit turned and blinked at her mother. “Outside.”
Moonflower’s eyes glowed and a loud purr rumbled in her throat. “You’ve opened your eyes.” She sounded relieved.
“I decided it was time,” Bluekit meowed in reply.
“There, Swiftbreeze,” Moonflower turned, waking the tabby and white queen with a satisfied meow. “I told you she’d do it when she was ready.”
Swiftbreeze sat up and gave her paw a lick. “Of course she would. But my kits opened their eyes sooner.” She swiped a paw across her muzzle, smoothing the fur on her nose.
Moonflower turned back to her kits. “So now you’re going out to see the world?”
“Why not?” Bluekit meowed. “Leopardkit and Patchkit are already out there.”
“Leopardkit and Patchkit are five moons old,” Moonflower told her. “They’re much bigger than you, so they’re allowed to play outside.”
Bluekit opened her eyes very wide. “Is it dangerous?”
Moonflower shook her head. “Not in the camp.”
“Then we can go!”
Moonflower sighed, the leaned down to smooth Bluekit’s fur with her tongue. “I suppose you can’t stay in the nursery forever.” She studied Snowkit. “Straighten you whiskers.” Pride lit the queen’s amber gaze. “I want you to look perfect when you meet the Clan.”
Snowkit ran a licked paw over each spray of whiskers.
Bluekit looked at her mother. “Are you coming with us?”
“Do you want me to?”
Bluekit shook her head. “We’re going to surprise Patchkit and Leopardkit.”
“You’re first prey.” Moonflower’s whiskers twitched. “Off you go, then.”
Bluekit bounced around and sprinted for the gap.
“Don’t get under any cat’s paws!” Moonflower called after them as Bluekit barged ahead of her sister and headed through the hole. “And stay together!”
The brambled scraped Bluekit’s pelt as she wriggled out of the nursery. When she stumbled onto the ground beyond, sunshine stung her eyes. She blinked away the glare, and the camp opened out in front of her like a dream. A vast sandy clearing stretched away to a rock that cast a shadow so long it almost touched her paw tips. Two warriors sat beneath it, sharing prey beside a clump of nettles. Beyond them lay a fallen tree, its tangled branches folded on the ground like a heap of skinny hairless legs. Several tail-lengths away from the nursery, a wide, low bush spread it’s branches over the ground. Ferns crowded a corner at the other side of the nursery and behind them rose a barrier of gorse so tall that Bluekit had to crane her neck to see the top.
Excitement thrilled through her. This was her territory! Her paws prickled. Would she ever know her way around? There was no sign of Patchkit or Leopardkit.
“Where’ve they gone?” she called to Snowkit.
Snowkit was staring around the camp. “I don’t know,” she meowed absently. “Look at that prey!” She was staring at a heap of birds and mice at the side of the clearing. It was topped by a fat, fluffy squirrel.
“The fresh-kill pile!” Bluekit bounced toward it, her nose twitching. She’d heard the queens in the nursery talk about prey, and she’d smelled squirrel on her mother’s fur. What would it taste like? Thrusting her nose into the pile, she tried to sink her claw into a small brown creature with a long, thin tail.
“Watch out!” Snowkit’s warning came too late.
Bluekit’s paws buckled as the fat squirrel rolled off the top of the pile and flattened her. Oof!
Purrs of amusement erupted from the two warriors beside the nettle patch. “I’ve never seen fresh-kill attack a cat before!” meowed one of them.
“Careful!” warned the other warrior. “All that fluff might choke you.”
Hot with embarrassment, Bluekit wriggled out from under the fresh-kill pile and stared fiercly at the warriors. “It just fell on me!” She didn’t want to be remembered by the kit who was attacked by a dead squirrel.
“Hey, you two!” Bluekit recognized Patchkit’s nursery scent as he padded out from behind the nursery. “Does your mother know you’re outside?”
“Of course!” Bluekit spun around to see her denmate for the first time.
Oh. She hadn’t expected Patchkit to be so big. His black and white fur was smooth like a warrior’s, and she had to tip her head back to look at him. She stretched her legs, trying to appear taller.
Leopardkit scampered after her brother, swiping playfully at his tail. Her black coat shone in the sunshine. She stopped and stared in delight when she saw Bluekit and Snowkit. “You’ve opened your eyes!”
Bluekit licked her chest, trying to
