The cover for the third book of the Omen of the Stars series has been unveiled! (<---- See image to left) The third OOTS book is called Night Whispers and it is said include point of view of a ShadowClan cat. This cat is presumed to be Flametail - ShadowClan's medicine cat. Mark your calendars for November 23 2010 - the release date (according to the HarperCollins website) for Night Whispers! There's a lot of speculation about the release date - some say August 8 2010, while others say November 23 2010. I'm not sure which (if any) of these date are correct - I'm doing some digging into this.Warning! Possible spoilers ahead!
The blurb from Night Whispers is: "The deadly battle between ThunderClan and ShadowClan is finally over. Now the three cats who are prophesied to hold the power of the stars in their paws—Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Dovepaw—are more determined than ever to stop the flow of evil into ThunderClan. But they will soon discover that this evil comes from places even StarClan can't reach..."
From this summery we can gather that there was a battle between ThunderClan and ShadowClan. This battle most likely will take place in Fading Echoes. What could cause a battle between the two Clans? Its no secret that ThunderClan and ShadowClan aren't the best neighbors. Even though Blackstar can be hotheaded - he's no fool. The battle between ThunderClan and ShadowClan would most likely be over something important... but what? Could ShadowClan have discovered the Prophecy and wanted the powerful cats dead? Or could Blackstar have simply decided that Firestar was low on lives - and if he struck: he could take out the "kittypet leader."
The blurb says "the deadly battle between ThunderClan and ShadowClan." We can assume this means we'll be saying goodbye to a few cats. We know that Leopardstar dies in Fading Echoes. Could this battle be the one that steals her last life? Perhaps RiverClan gets involved somehow?
Perhaps the final very interesting piece of information comes from the last sentence of the blurb: "But they will soon discover that this evil comes from places even StarClan can't reach..." Hmm... a strong theory is that Tigerstar (and possibly Hollyleaf) begin "influencing" cats, causing tension among the Clans... The theory continues, suggesting that Breezepelt is already under this "influence," and that Ivypaw may join him.

Tigerstar...
Could Tigerstar start the battle between ThunderClan and ShadowClan? He might be the "evil flowing into ThunderClan" mentioned in the blurb. In previous books it was revealed that Tigerstar is growing more and more powerful - and StarClan is powerless to stop him. From Lionblaze's dreamwalks with Tigerstar we know that the dark leader can wound others, even though he's dead.
In The Fourth Apprentice, Tigerstar is seen standing over Poppyfrost's newborn kits. Could Tigerstar be recruiting kits for villainous purposes?
DovexTiger starts battle
This is an interesting theory. Perhaps we'll see another forbidden romance with Tigerheart and Dovepaw? The possibility of a DovexTiger pairing has been hinted at throughout The Fourth Apprentice. Maybe love blossoms between them and we'll see a GraystripexSilverstream repeat? Still... it seems highly unlikely for Blackstar and Firestar to fight over two of their lovestruck warriors. At worse I think Blackstar would exile Tigerheart - not start a battle because of his affections for Dovepaw.
Tigerheart goes evil & starts the battle
Hmmm... in this could happen, but I find it very unlikely. I think the possibility of Tigerheart "going evil" doesn't suit his personality. It may be more likely that he is misguided.
In The Fourth Apprentice Lionblaze suspects that Tigerstar walks in Tigerheart's dreams. Tigerstar could easily lead the young warrior astray. Tigerstar could use Tigerheart to stir up hostility between ThunderClan and ShadowClan.
One thing is for certain: If Tigerstar is involved - its going to be bad news for ThunderClan.
Flametail falls in love?
It is presumed that Flametail will have a point of view in Night Whispers. Why? Flametail isn't an active, super-important character in OOTS - so why would Flametail get his own POV? There are two major theories I have discovered for this:
Theory 1: Flametail's point of view is prologue - nothing more.
Theory 2: Flametail has a forbidden relationship which plays a major part in the series.
Theory 2 has many holes - although it is an interesting idea. While this could happen - it would distract from the main point of the OOTS series: the Prophecies. This is, assuming Flametail is a main character. What if Flametail fell in love with Dovepaw? Could that make him important enough to have his own point of view? Maybe.
I think it far more likely that Flametail would discover something important if he is going to be featured throughout Night Whispers. What if he learns the existence of the Prophecy? Could that be important enough or him to get his own point of view? I'm not sure... What are your thoughts about Flametail in Night Whispers?
BloodClan returns?
Many Warriors fans doubt that we have seen the last of BloodClan. Could Night Whispers mark the return of this dark Clan? What are your thoughts?

Hm, maybe Flametail's POV tells about him visiting the Dark Forest and seeing tigerheart with other recruits planning or something. And maybe he meets Jayfeather or something...not a good prediction, but you never know what the next thing the Erins conjure up will be!
Maybe Tigerheart and Dovepaw will have a relationship and Flametail will be jealous!
Argh! If they have BloodClan return I will be mad!! >:( But FLametail falling love is interesting, but a little old. We;ve had a lot of forbidden medicine cat love lately. I highly doubt that BloodClan will be back again, i think BloodClan was just a one time thing and a way for Tigerstar to die. Since there are all of these theories Tigerheart falling in love with Dovepaw, the POV from the Shadowclan warrior could be him and not Flametail or it could be both of them. Altogether this sounds like a good book.

I think that Sorreltail or Graystripe will lead, but i DEFINETLY don't want Lionblaze or Brambleclaw to lead! That's like Mudclaw or Hawkfrost becoming leader!!!!

you know the YOUNG WARRIOR that is injured by a falling tree? a young warrior. most think its brambleclaw but hes not exactly young is he. what if tigerxdove theory is true? what if tiger goz 2 thunderclan 2 b w/dovepaw? he's young, only recently made a warrior.
In the Fading Echos teaser thing, didn't it say that Jayfeather would go ask for help? i think It's Flametail he's going to ask, and thats why he gets a point of veiw. I mean, It's way more likely for Jayfeather to ask Flametail than Willowshine or for Blackstar to let Littlecloud help, right?
Hey, so I just read Fading Echos, and I think Tigerstar wanted Russetfur to die because maybe Tigerheart will be the next Deputy, which will be very useful for Tigerstar...

Ivypaw actually started the war between ThunderClan and ShadowClan. Tigerstar said that ShadowClan will battle ThunderClan (he was lying). Ivypaw told Firestar and he decided to battle ShadowClan for the land he gave to Blackstar. Russetfur dieds and Firestar loses a life with only two more left
My theorie is that Lionblaze will become leader and Hollyleaf will challenge him for it(she is alive and will come back)
Hollyleaf, in my opinion, would make a better leader than Lionblaze because she is more thoughtful of other cats and a lot smarter. But I don't think she has enough respect from the other cats to become leader yet.
I read Fading Echoes and I know for a fact that TigerStar started the battle through Ivypaw,FireStar lost two lives and Russetfur died. BloodClan probably will not return because of how much distance they have put between them on the Great Journey. The young warrior that is injured by the fallen tree in Briarlight(previously Briarpaw).
BloodClan scattered long ago and will NEVER come back, they are just a scary tale among the clans, BY THE LAKE! If BloodClan did returen, they would have to come all the way from the old forest (which is twoleg nests now) and soem how find the faded sent the clans left behind on the great journey. It's just impossible!
Flame tail's POV is a prologe and nothing esle. It makes the most sense.
Hmmm... I was thinking Dove x Tiger or maybe even Ivy x Tiger at the same time. In Fading Echoes, the Tiger x Dove is hinted strongly several times. However, Ivy and Tiger consider themselves "clanmates" due to their teamship in going to the Dark Forest. I personally think BloodClan coming back is a stupid theory unless you mean they're coming back from the Dark Forest. Flametail shouldn't have a romance, maybe he'll get some message from StarClan. Hope the book's good!
i really don't think Bloodclan came come back... they don't belive in starclan so therefore they aren't in Darkforest. Unless a lot of them are hiding in the Twoleg place and come over all those miles to the lake to get revenge its probably not a possibility. TigerxDove is probably it. I don't know about Flametail's POV... probably its just a prologue.
Wow, there are some awesome theories/points being posted! I agree that is is unlikely for BloodClan to return - but you never know, Bone could have gone to BloodClan's version of StarClan (for the evil) and Tigerstar could break through... although thats extremely unlikely. However, you never know with the Erins!

You know that Tigerheart didn't start the battle and Ivypaw did. I think that Flametail will have a perspective and he sortof destroys Ivypaw or Hawkfrost. Onestar, Blackstar or Firestar will die. The new Shadow clan deputy should be Toadfoot or one of his sisters because they made the journy when they were really young and they might make other clans not hate them.
i'll bet reedwhisker is the new RiverClan deputy, and rowanclaw for shadowclan. mothwingxlittlecloud?

Maybe Flametails POV is that he found out about the three and how he found out. I mean it has to be important because it's just random for him to just pop up in the book and to have a point of view.

Hmm... what if Dovepaw "dumps" Tigerheart and so then he goes crying to Ivypaw? Both of them fall in love and then they become evil and battle against Dovepaw. Then Dovepaw will fall for Bumblepaw? It is possible o.e

The Omen that Yellowfang sent to Dovepaw, "After the sharp-eyed jay and the roaring lion, peace will come on a dove's gentle wing" maybe means that Jayfeather and Lionblaze will cause some sort of trouble and Dovepaw will have to stop it or fix it.
Ok. I just read "Fading Echoes" in about 2 hours. it was an awesome book. but the whole "Flametail and Ivypaw" thing, I don't think that would happen. Maybe Tigerheart likes Ivypaw and Dovepaw and he doesn't know what to do about it. Then he goes to Flametail for advice or something.
The Omen Yellowfang sent was meant to tell Dovepaw she is the third cat and after reading fading echoes Firestar has three lives left.
I know some things!!!! The battle between Thunderclan and Shadowclan was because of Ivypaw. BUT!! She thought it was a message from Starclan. But it was Hawkfrost speaking to her in a dream. He AND Tigerstar start visitng her in her dreams. Promising her greatness. Tigerheart has NOTHING to do with any of this...not yet anyway. Your thoughts on Hollyleaf are wrong. I know this because on kate's blog a fan asked why did you kill Hollyleaf?? Kate replied did I ever say she was dead? Also I don't think she would kill off her fave character. I like the theory on Flametail though!! Well the one of him finding abouyt the prophecy. That could change alot in the series. I JUST LOVE A GOOD TWIST!!!
I think people are forgetting about Sol! Where did he go? He said he'd be back, maybe he tries Riverclan or windclan. I don't know it's a possibility. :) I'm pretty sure Flametail will discover either about the prophecy or Tigerheart. Whether or not this is only in the prologue or not I don't know. Bloodclan returning? Not that big of a possibility. Unless they are driven from their twoleg place and make a journey like the Clans. I wonder if anything else happens between Lionblaze and Cinderheart? That could be exciting!! Hollyleaf could come back. Who said she died?
Well I cant remember who said she died but I remember reading on her blog about it. So I really don't nkow what is going to happen but it could be one of the best books shes written!!

THIS IS NOT A THEORY BECAUSE I GOT THE BOOK ON NOVEMBER 23!I know why Flametail is on the cover it's because he is Lionblaze and Jayfeather's kin and he doesn't like Lionblaze for killing Russetfur. Jayfeather finds out about Ivypaw and the Dark Forest and Lionblaze falls in love with Cinderheart! Blackstar is planning an attack on Thunderclan. The new deputy is Rowanclaw. Bloodclan is not coming back EVER! Also I know who dies in the book, but you will have to read it yourself!
Does anyone else notice that Lionblaze acts funny around Cinderheart :P I see stars around them!
