Finally - Fading Echoes is out! Who's read it? Leave comments and theories here! For those of you who haven't been able to get your paws on Fading Echoes yet here's a short summery and interesting points of the book! An in depth summery + theories are coming soon! Warning! Spoilers ahead!
The book begins with a troubling reveal - Breezepelt is helping the Dark Forest cats. Tigerstar persuades Breezepelt that he must take revenge against Crowfeather - because Crowfeather took a mate from another Clan. Tigerstar also says that there is another cat that must join them....the cat? Ivypaw.
Leopardstar dies early in the book of old age. Mistyfoot becomes the new leader of RiverClan.
Poppyfrost's kits are named: Molekit and Cherrykit.
Jayfeather tells Firestar that he, Lionblaze and Dovepaw are the Three. He also tells them he's not entirely sure what the Prophecy means. Firestar admitted that he thought the Three were Leafpool, Cloudtail and Squirrelflight.
Tragedy comes in Fading Echoes for StickxJay lovers. :( When Ivypaw steps on Jayfeather's stick by accident it gets thrown into the river. Jayfeather feels a twinge of pain when the stick falls into the river.
Dovepaw senses tree roots coming lose. A tree falls, trapping Longtail and Briarpaw underneath. Unfortunately Longtail dies and Briarpaw breaks her spine and can no longer feel her hind legs. Later, Briarpaw is made into a warrior despite her disability. Her siblings also become warriors. Their names are Briarlight, Bumblestripe and Blossomfall.
Progressing into the book, ThunderClan has trouble ShadowClan venturing into their territory. Ivypaw persuades Firestar to attack ShadowClan after Blackstar denies that his warriors have crossed the border. Firestar loses a life after Russetfur brutally attacks him. Lionblaze killed Russetfur but not in time to save Firestar from losing another life.

i thought that thunderclan cats wouldn't kill in cold blood? well... i guess it wasn't cold blood if russetfur was killing firestar. too bad longtail dies! he survived super long though so i guess it's ok. i hope sandstorm doesn't die! she's like one of the best characters even though she's hardly in the book. i wonder what life this is for firestar...

Sprocket07 - Aaaahhh, good point! It may have been self defense, because your right, Russetfur was killing Firestar. I think Lionblaze may have gotten a little carried away. I wonder how he will cope with Russetfur's blood on his paws. I wonder who the new deputy will be? Wouldn't it be interesting if it was Tigerheart...? Hmm... I was really sad about Longtail! He was a favorite character of mine. D: At least his death was pretty quick. Sandstorm is getting pretty old - she's just a little younger than Leopardstar. It would be sad to see her go! She's been in the books for such a long time!! I believe it's getting close for him. Wasn't that his... seventh? Eighth life? I've heard he will die in Omen of the Stars. D: Possibly the next book, Night Whispers - though I'm not certain.

I didn't think it was that great.....But I kinda LIKE Ivypaw I don't know why everyone hates her. I wish the battle didn't happen, it was kinda sad, I'd give the book a 7½ star rating.

Okay so here are my opinions on Fading Echoes, for people who have also read it:
-The clans should have a more accurate way of teaching history. Probably the only things cats know are from stories told in the nursery or elder's den. Ivypaw knows she's training with Hawkfrost and Tigerstar but these names don't mean anything to her.If Ivypaw knew Hawkfrost's whole story, there's no one she would want to see him again.
- Dovepaw should tell Ivypaw about her power. If Ivypaw knew that her sister was born with abilities she can't control, she wouldn't be so jealous. And Ivypaw should tell Dovepaw about her dreams.
-Firestar shouldn't have attacked Shadowclan! He should have stood strong to his original beliefs. Instead, he lost a life-over a tiny strip of grass. I bet Tigerstar's happy now.
-Tigerheart is obviously up to something. Dovepaw should be more loyal to her clan than to her friend and report him to Firestar. And I don't think I'll be able to live through another secret relationship, so please Dovepaw and Tigerheart, don't go there!
- It's so irritating how Brambleclaw, Jayfeather and Lionblaze are still angry at Squirrelflight and Leafpool. So you were lied to? You also have secrets. Get over it and give Squirrelflight a big hug. Leafpool gave up the love of her life to be a medicine cat, and now she's stuck in the warrior's den? That's just terrible.
I just thought of something. Now that Mistystar is leader, all the leaders of this generation have something different about them. Firestar used to be a kittpet. Mistystar's mother was Bluestar, so she has ThunderClan blood. Onestar was never deputy. Blackstar was once a rogue. He was banished from ShadowClan, until Tigerstar brought him back. Interesting, no?

i have an interesting theory...
you all know that Dovepaw became jealous when tigerheart and ivypaw "nodded" to each other in battle, but the real question is, why did he nod?
dovepaw went through many scenarios in her head, but all seemed to be proven wrong. but according to ivypaws dreams, she probably is training with tigerheart in the dark forest with tigerstar. maybe a dream that wasn't shared with the readers, what do you think?
I totally agree with Rachel! I wish the Hunters made Ivypaw the one. I don't know why I don't like Dovepaw. Dovepaw should have been Ivypaw, and Ivypaw Dovepaw.
I want Sandstorm to die! She's been alive to long and will either die before Firestar leaving him to greive, or die after Firestar after she has been living in the elders den mournnig Firestar's death for a little while. I hate typing this, but i think OOTS will be the last serise, i think the warriors serise will end a few books after Firestar's death (which i beleive will happen in Night Whispers)

Ivypaw is a good fighter and smart to, she should have been the one with the powers not Dovepaw! Dovepaw will be cool at first, but turn out to be a goody-two-shoes, like Firestar.

SANDSTORM IS AWESOME! she was like my favorite character for like the last 3 books in the first section. yeah i kind of think that dovepaw is kind of a goody two shoes. lol. i dont think that ivypaw should have been one of them. i dont know why IVYPAW just sounds... uh... weird... if you know what i'm saying.

Lilacspots, I don't remember when Firestar got killed by a fox. And I don't remember him getting killed by an "unknown" shadow clan cat. or do you mean Russetfur?
I am new to your blog, Sorrelpaw and i love it!!:) Well, 1st, Lionblaze didn't mean to kill Russetfur. And I think that Brambleclaw, Jayfeather and Lionblaze should just forgive Leafpool and Squirrelflight because they were only trying to protect them!
Oh! And if Lionblaze DID mean to kill Russetfur, it was a good enough cause because Russetfur took a life from Firestar. I know all this by heart because I have read every single book( besides the ones that haven't come out yet) 3 times. I can't wait for Night Whispers to come out. I think Cinderheart should become leader. Cinderpelt always dreamed of it. In the first series she said even when she was a kit, she wanted to be like Bluestar.
I think it's funny... "JayxStick". He's such a nerd. A cute nerd. But not as cute as Graystripe. Graystripe is like, the epicenter of cute. My cat looks just like him.
Anyway, with my love for Graystripe off to the side, AWESOME summary! Loved it!
