Sunrise...the book that left us all shaking our heads in disbelief. The shear shockingness of the book made many readers crave the upcoming series Omen of the Stars--the continuation of Power of Three.
Perhaps the largest shocker was the 'death' of Hollyleaf...but is she really gone for good? Could she have found a way to survive? After all she has been in the tunnels before...maybe she found a safe haven. It just seems a bit strange to me that she would die so suddenly...she has a lot of potential as a villain or even just a misguided cat.
Maybe she really did die, but is watching from the Dark Forest/StarClan. Erin never confirmed that she went to either place. Erin Hunter surprised us once, and I think she'll do it again.
What ever happened, I still think she has a part to play in the upcoming series, Omen of the Stars.

i'm not sure, but it pains me to think of her in the dark forest...
i find it hard to believe that OOTS will be darker than PO3. there are a couple of questions i want answered though:
What will happen between Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight now that the truth is out?
Will Leafpool still be ThunderClan's medicine cat, or will she be driven out?
Will Squirrelflight be forgiven by Lion and Jay?
and...
Is Hollyleaf alive, or dead, and if she's dead, is she with StarClan or in the Dark Forest?
I think it's possible that she's still alive. Why would they make a good cat suddenly become evil then kill her off in the same book? It just doesn't seem right. And, Hollyleaf never even found out her power. I had thought that it was the power of good leadership, but maybe it's something a whole lot darker. I do think Hollyleaf was part of the prophecy though. I can't wait for The Fourth Apprentice!

Spottedstar: You never know. Omen of the Stars can be darker, if you think of all the betrayals that have already happened. Revenge may take place.
I hope that nothing happens between Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight. I love that they're together so much.
I don't think Firestar will have the heart to drive Leafpool out of the Clan, and Yellowfang was able to stay in ThunderClan, though she gave birth to Brokentail.
I don't understand why Lionblaze and Jayfeather are angry with her in the first place. If I were them, I would think that my adopted mother is very loyal to whichever cat (obviously now that cat is Leafpool) she kept the secret so long for.
I would think that Hollyleaf escaped using the river in the tunnels. It said in one of the Power of Three books that the three apprentices and Heatherpaw helped get two WindClan cats out of the tunnels by using the river to lead back to the lake. Maybe she escaped the territories that way?
And if she is really dead, it would be very sad if she was in the Dark Forest. She only snapped at the end of the series, but the rest of her life was devoted to the warrior code. I think StarClan will spare her. She's suffered enough.

Hollyleaf shouldn't survive. If you look throughout all the books, she never really had any powers.
i don't want anymore IMPORTANT cats to die like, squirrel bramble and fire. Have you guys ever thought that Crowfeather might do something to the three, because in sunrise he said, "I have no kits besides Breezepelt." maybe he wants that to be true and tries to kill jay and lion....
She CAN'T be in the dark forest! I mean, she only snapped in the end. . . and any decent cat who wanted to keep it's bloodline clean probably would have killed any cat who threatennd to tell its secrets. I think she's still in the tunnels and the spirit of Fallen Leaves is guiding her. Next theory. . . I have a hard time believing this myself but who knows? I think that Lionblaze is a reborn. But I don't think that reborns work the same way you guys think they work. I think a reborn is a normal cat, who is destined to carry out the duties of the cat it replaces (Cinderheart-Cinderpelt, I think). And then cat who it is modeled after teaches it, such as Lionblaze and Tigerstar. This may be a teense wacky, but hey, who knows?
As pointed out in another comment for another post blog thing, it's possible that hollyleaf is still alive, despite the fact that vicky says she died in the tunnel. I mean, ivykit and dovekit are not firestar's kin of his kin. Which would mean his grandchildren, not his great-grandchildren, which is what ivykit and dovekit are.
Also, to the comment about Yellowfang. Yellowfang gave birth to her kits during the time she was a warrior, correct? Not while she was a medicine cat.
no one knew yellowfang had given birth other tan the father. bramble would not kill squirrel and i want fire to die because he is boring. lepord should die because she is mad old.
Holleyleaf's death shocked me more than anything in the whole series. But I started to think that she is alive. And I do think she is alive.And I think she will return to Thunderclan. I just can't imagine Holleyleaf in the dark forest. And she can't be in starclan because she would have come to Jayfeather. Who knows? Maybe Erin will surprise us again.
